Résumé building: SCAD industrial design students and VTech
March 19, 2008Every college student should want this on their résumé:
Product design project: VTech, spring quarter 2008
- Conducted market research and cultural probes on specific age groups for VTech, an internationally known technology company
- Created design concepts in class, working with classmates and VTech design director David Waterman
- One of select group of students to travel to VTech’s Hong Kong headquarters to present final design concepts (May 9-24)
At SCAD, 16 industrial design students will graduate with a version of this on their résumés, making them experienced and highly marketable in the design industry.
In fact, one of the students from this design project will end up with a paid, one-year internship on VTech’s design team in Hong Kong upon graduation.
How’s that for a final grade?
